Host Club Application

(Text in red is notes for us till finalized.)
Fee for application - $100 (submit fees in US funds)
To be considered for approval, the entity must be an ethical dog related business and the following must accompany the application:
  • Either a copy of the Club’s by-laws (member club – non-profit or not for profit), or the Business Papers (DBA, LLC, Corporation, etc.) filed with the county or state/province. Upon approval, the following items are required with or prior to the first trial application:

ANY EVENT UNDER CPE RULES

  • A copy of the current Liability Insurance Policy as an Acord Statement. Must include the club’s name to be registered with CPE, lists CPE (see address below) as the certificate holder (NOT an additional insured).
  • Any show site must be within 75 miles of the home address of the club listed below.
  • If within 75 miles of another CPE club: CPE may contact the club(s) to ask for input if necessary to determine if there is a large enough exhibitor base to support another club in your area when adding more trials. Distance is measured by the club’s city and state, and/or the site location(s) city and state, using Google Maps to determine mileage. The final decision will rest with CPE.
  • CPE policy for trials within 75 miles of each other: Trials must be at least 75 miles, and at least 2 weeks apart, unless the nearby clubs agree to have back-to-back trials. Same weekend trials must be at least 150 miles apart. Mileage is per Google Maps, shortest driving distance.
  • New trial applications may be included with this application with a separate check for this form and each application. A club may not assume a club or trial application will be approved until notified by CPE.
  • Once a host club has been approved, the club contact can register to access the Host Club webpage, www.cpe.dog, where the trial applications are posted.

AGILITY

  • A plan of the show site(s) the club will use in a 10’x10’ grid in CRCD (see cleanrun.com). Include: ring size(s) and obstructions, type of footing – include thickness and type if applicable. If outdoors and permanently fenced, deduct 10’ from each side where gates are used for dogs to enter/exit the ring (gating will need to separate the ring from the gating area, 10’ wide). An agility site must have a grid approved prior to a trial application being approved, may be sent at the same time.
Minimum Agility ring sizes – see the Agility rules for current ring sizes.

CANINE SCENT SPORT

  • A rough drawing or photos of the area to be used for the trial indicating which area is to be used for each element.
  • The club should be able to provide secure area/areas for crating and “staging” out of view of the search areas. This may be separated by walls, and or artificial barriers.
  • The club should provide an area for the odors to be kept and prepared separate from the search areas, closed off bathroom, outdoor shed, etc.
  • The club should provide enough ring gating to separate smaller areas within a larger room if needed.
  • The club needs to provide enough containers, objects for staging interiors and exteriors, and vehicles for the searches.

SPEEDWAY

  • Minimum SpeedWay ring sizes and length for Dragrace – see the SpeedWay rules for current ring sizes. Please see each games’ rules for details on course designs and equipment required.
